About The Noodle

Our Mission
Neighborhood Noodle’s mission is to bring delicious, healthy, Asian-inspired noodles with a local flair to the people of Detroit in a welcoming, flexible environment that nourishes, connects, and inspires everyone we encounter to use food as a medium for social change.
Noodle’s History
Our founder, Jess, started out serving to friends and friends of friends on Mondays from a neighborhood kitchen in Woodbridge. Word spread and demand for noodles started to outgrow our capacity to supply.
Chelsea and Alison got on board at the start of 2011, and from January to May 2011, we operated a pop-up cafe out of our friend Dave’s kitchen at Supino Pizza once a month on Mondays.
As we started working on turning the noodle from a project into a real business, we started meeting lots of other Detroit-based entrepreneurs who shared our values and love for food. As a result, we founded the Metro Detroit Good Food Entrepreneurs, a network that supports the development, growth, and cooperation of good food businesses.

What’s up next?
As of fall 2012, we’re still working on developing a plan for what’s up next.
In the meantime, we still pop-up every once in a while for special events around town. Click here to sign up for our noodle newsletter with information on where we’ll be and updates on our future vision.
